I recently had a general check-up as a requirement for the employment I’m trying to have now. All was in good shape for me except for one thing, the dentist of the hospital told me that I have impacted tooth. My lower left wisdom tooth is growing inside horizontally and is colliding with the molar tooth beside it. The dentist told me that it has to be removed through an operation. Honestly, I am afraid! Has anybody here undergone same operation? How was it? Please share your experience with me.

I also had a dental x-ray two weeks ago and my dentist also said that I have an impacted tooth or perhaps teeth at that because both my lower left and lower right molar teeth are growing inside. It’s a good thing you post this topic. I certainly need the boost too.

There is nothing to be afraid of since the dentist will inject anesthesia so you won’t feel any pain. All that you can feel is the pressure when he takes your tooth off. He will make sure that the procedure won’t cause you any pain since you are awake the whole time.

I had an impacted tooth operation a year ago and I can’t forget that ‘coz that was the longest time I had to keep my mouth open. Although I feel like closing my mouth, I could not ‘coz my dentist had to take the impacted tooth first. Anesthesia was injected of course. After the operation, I only ate ice cream, and I was not allowed to chew on hard foods and do heavy stuffs.

The impacted tooth operation I had was quite unforgettable. When the dentist injected anesthesia in the inside of my mouth, I though my cheeks and my whole face was so swollen. But it was actually not. The operation was kinda long. I had to keep my mouth open all those time. Whew! But it was a good thing that I had it removed, or else it would continue to cause me pain ‘til now.
