| Topic Title: Information on cavity |
Friday, Jun 17 2005
I was looking at the mirror this morning, and notice this decay in some of my teeth. Ever since, I never visit a dentist ‘coz I thought brushing is enough to care for my teeth. But seeing this decay now, I think I’d better see one. Is this decay the one called cavity? Can you give me more information on cavity?

Well, a cavity is decay in your tooth. If you try to look in a mirror, and you see some dark portion on your teeth especially your molar tooth, that’s cavity that is starting to form there. It actually develops when a tooth decays and develops a hole that grows bigger and deeper over time.

Cavities are also called dental caries. Coronal, root, and recurrent decay are the types of these. If you have dry mouth, you are more likely to get cavities. So, if you think that you’re starting to develop cavities there, visit your dentist at once.
