| Topic Title: Is it expensive to have a dental bridge? |
Friday, Jun 17 2005
My upper teeth had a gap when I had a tooth loss early this month. I was so disappointed when I lost my tooth because I could not anymore smile when I’m with my friends. They would always joke about my missing tooth, and although hurt, I don’t show it to them. So, I decided to have a dental bridge. I am working part time so I have the money, but let me ask, is it expensive to have a dental bridge? Thanks for your replies on this in advance.

I would say that the answer to that is definitely yes. I had one and my mom really paid high for it. Not only that, I had to come and visit my dentist regularly to check my dental bridge and make sure that the metal framework and bite fit. That alone, my mom needs to pay for every visit. Give this a thought before you proceed.

As far as I know, the cost of dental bridges varies depending on the type of bridge selected and the area of the country in which the dental bridge procedure will be performed. I am just not very sure how much it costs in every state. Better check with your dentist first.

The best resource that can answer your question is your dentist. If you have a dental plan, your dental insurance can typically pay a percentage of the fee. But if you have none, you will have to shoulder everything of course.
