| Topic Title: Is root canal treatment that painful? |
Monday, Jun 20 2005
Hi everyone! My dentist told me to get a root canal treatment and since this is my first time I’m really curios if it would really hurt. My bro tells me that it really hurts. Is this true? Is root canal treatment that painful? How long does it take? I need your ideas on this ‘coz if the pain seems unbearable, I don’t think I’d go through with it.

Root canal treatment is not painful at all. Your dentist will of course use a rubber dam, it is a bit uncomfortable but it is not painful at all. You ask your dentist to be gentle during the entire process and to proceed slowly so it won't be that painful to you.
